About Naidurra Safaris

This is a new way to enhance and personalise your guest’s adventure, increase your revenue, extend their stay in the Greater Mara Ecosystem and in doing so actively support important ecosystem connectivity.
The Naidurra is an experience that is designed for reasonably active, curious guests who wish to extend their stay and explore some of the treasures that are outside the park and adjacent conservancies.
The culture in rural areas is the heartbeat of our Nation.
The journey is designed to complement time in the Mara; not to detract from it. This is for guests who would like to interact with the community on a more traditional safari, expanding their stay in Narok county by an additional 4 nights and ending up in one of the countries most Sacred Forests.
This is designed for operators, camp and lodge owners with private groups and guides.
The Naidurra focuses on providing the infrastructure and access on which to build a unique safari under your own brand, in your own style to your audience. Your financial reward is based on the value adds, the food, service, guiding and activities that you bring to the safari. Each operator will be able to run their own Naidurra, mindful of their guests budget and appetite for adventure.
Whilst It can be sold by an internationally based Agent, this is a Safari that requires a Kenyan based operator for it to work. This enhances local relationships and enables each operator to develop a unique collection of value adds for their target market.

A Better Model for Operators and Their Guests
Naidurra empowers local operators to design unique experiences while generating revenue from the services they provide. Without a fixed retail price, operators can adjust pricing based on the group size and services offered.
This flexible approach encourages creativity and allows operators to enhance the experience and value for their Guests.
Locations and Access
There are three traditional mobile camp units based between the South Eastern boundary of the reserve and the forest, Naminia Enkiyo, on the edge of the Rift Valley.
The camps can be reached by several routes, on more adventurous back roads, walking and cycling tracks or a sedate scenic drive on main roads between market towns and trading posts.
The journey starts with a night on the edge of the Reserve, followed by a night en-route to the forest and ends with two nights in the forest.
The route and camps have been field tested with guests on over 40 safaris with the first experimental trips being undertaken in 2016. This is a purest experience and requires a high level of guiding, and sensitivity to cultural interactions. It also requires good knowledge of Kenya history and the ability to operate without support. It is a safari in the purest sense of that word.
